Welcome!

Rice Club Tennis is a semi-competitive, co-ed tennis team comprised of Rice undergraduate and graduate students. Whether you’re a competitor or a casual player is not important; all that matters is your love for the game- Rice Club Tennis is for both competitive and recreational tennis players. Besides weekly practices, we are part of USTA Texas Tennis On Campus and compete in tournaments against universities from all across the state. In the 2011-2012 Tennis Season, we qualified for the National Championships for the first time. Since then, we have qualified three more times in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2022.

Practice times and dates will be scheduled at the beginning of each new school year, and are not mandatory, although they are encouraged for those of you who want to participate in tournaments! Rice Club Tennis is also one of the most diverse clubs on campus. We are the only co-ed, multi-college, graduate-undergraduate club sport on campus. No other club sport gives you the chance to meet so many new and different people across campus!

We look forward to sharing our passion for the game with you and hope to see you out on the courts! Please contact the club officers if you have any questions!

Fall 2024 Practice Times:

Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays from 7:00pm – 8:30pm at the George R. Brown Tennis Center (by the football stadium/West Lot)
